Jo Moseley is a joy encourager, midlife adventurer and proud member of the 2MinuteBeachClean community. Inspired by a quote from the book, One Day by David Nicholls, Jo’s motto is “I can’t change the world, but I can change the little bit around me.” She does a 2MinuteLitterPick every day wherever she is and is focussed on making more environmentally friendly and sustainable choices.
In the summer of 2019, Jo, then 54, was the first woman to stand up paddleboard coast to coast from Liverpool to Goole, along the Leeds Liverpool Canal and Aire & Calder Navigation. Her goal was to raise awareness of the plastic pollution in our inland waterways and how that impacts our beaches and oceans. Jo also raised funds for the 2MinuteBeachClean’s work and The Wave Project, a surf therapy charity helping young people reduce anxiety and build resilience.
Jo is a keen advocate of the benefits of looking after the places we love, live and play in by picking up litter. She writes and makes short films about this ‘Wheel of Wellbeing’ - the joy of moving outdoors, belonging to a friendly community with a shared goal, feeling close to the environment and the sense of purpose it gives her.
